Class#12 Education

I think Japanese people should protect Japanese. Now, internationalization is advancing. Many people can speak English. So people tend to overlook native language. Japanese should polish and respect Japanese. I think it is good things to use English when we have communication with people in the world. Common language is very important. It doesn't mean Japanese neglect native language.

I think simplification of Japanese is good. Because the age is changing. If only language doesn't change, it is so strange. some worse die, some worse is born.

Class#11 Men and Women

I understand this article, But I don't know whichever agree or disagree. Recently, young men are said "Soushoku-kei" in Japanese. That means a man who is not active about love. I think it is not bad thing. Because if a man have interesting things than love, he should put his heart in it. If a man is interested in love, he should do the best. we have a problem that is the declining birthrate. but we can not activate man's motivation. So we should go along with nature.

Class#10 Table Manners

1.Have you ever eaten in a restaurant in a foreign country? Where? What did you eat? Did you make any mistakes? Please explain your experience?
Last summer, I went to go to America. My host family took me some restaurants. Japanese restaurant, Amish restaurant and staff like that. I did not make mistake because I had studied about American table manner. Before I went to go to America, I heard we need to pay some tip in America. but my host family didn't pay tip. I don't know why they didn't pay it.

2. Did you learn anything?
Yes, I did. I have never been a high class restaurant. so I don't know real table manner of America. In general restaurant, I think there are not a lot of difference between Japanese restaurant and American restaurant.

class#8 wedding

1.Since Japanese weddings are expensive, do you think having a massive wedding like Korea or UAE is a good idea? Why?
A massive wedding is good, I think. marriage is special event in our life. We can't do wedding often. so, We should do wedding what we want. No wedding is bad.


2. What do you think about eloping? Is it a good idea or romantic? Why?
eloping is very romantic!! but,eloping has good meaning and bad meaning. I think I should not do it as possible. if I meet the best person and nobody allow to marry, I may elop. However my family is the most important for me, I don't want to lose my family. so I may give up marrying him.

3. Have you ever thought about having a wedding in a foreign location like Hawaii? Would you do it? Why?Or Why not?
It is good idea to have wedding in a foreign location. but, I am japanese. Unless my hasband is foreign, I want to have a wedding in japan. Japan also have some good location. We don't need to go to foreign all the way. I love japanese scenery.

4.What is your ideal wedding?
Wedding will be the best memory in my life. In my image, preparation is very hard. Where? When? What clothes will we wear? Who do you invite? Who is a chairman? When I think about it, my head ache.

5.What would you definitely do, wear or go to on that big day? Why is that important?
If I marry and do wedding, I want to do it in shrine, and wear kimono. I want to do it solemnly. So I don't want to do it like party.

6. Have you ever been to a foreigner's wedding? What was your impression?
Last class, I watched video. In the wedding, there are about four women and four men who wear same dress. I think they are friends of a bride and a bridegroom. Why they wear same dress? I was surprised at it.

Class#7 superstitions

1.Do you think it is important to talk about superstitions in cross culture communication class? Why?
yes, I do. I think so, because superstitions is very interesting.



2.Is communication affected by superstitions?
I sometimes use superstition. superstition is very nice expression.


3.Do you believe in superstitions? If yes, what superstitions do you believe?Why do you do, use, or believe in them?
Yes, I do. When I was child, I believe in superstition hard. but, I don't very believe in it now.





last class, I took Ms. Camilla's presentation. I want to eat Denmark's bread. it loooks delicious and I guess that taste is also good. In japan, there is bercary shop that come from denmark.

Class#6 time

1. Please explain a time proverb in your culture.
To sit on the stone for three long years. : If I have the patience to do that is haed, I can achive it someday.
A once-in-a-life time chance : Treasure every encounter, for it will never recur.



2. What do the following proverbs mean:
a. Time is money.
Time is as particular as money. So we should not waste some time.
"Saigetu hito wo matazu" that mean Time wait for no man. this proverb makes me consider. I often waste time. now, I have much time but I don't use the time efficient.

b. A stitch in time saves nine.
For example, the thing that I can do today should do now. I mean if I put off assignment, it is past recalling. Many people often put off assignment.


c. There's no time like the present.
that mean now is my chance.

d.Let's meet at 4. If I'm not there by 5, leave without me at 6, and I'll be there at 7.
people don't have cell phone in a long time ago. so people can't get in touch with each other easily. If a man can't meet suddenly, a man can do nothing. For this reason, a man thought. Let's meet at 4. If I'm not there by 5, leave without me at 6, and I'll be there at 7.

1. Do you judge people according to what they wear? Why?
Yes, I do. Because the clothe express one's mind.

2. Do you think Japanese society puts an importance on clothing when judging other people from another country?
Yes, I do. But every countries also do it.

3. What colors are you wearing now? Do they reflect your mood?
Now, I am wearing blue. I often wear the cold color. I think the color reflect our mood.

I have never discuss about politics and religion.

2. Do you have different friends for different parts of your life? If so, how are they different to you? Do you talk about different things? Go to different places? Give me some examples.
